The hotel is located within walking distance of the main railway station and has easy access to all the main historic sights and shopping areas. The founder of Roscioli Hotels, Universo Hotel, is considered the foundation stone on which the whole chain of hotels was built. The hotel is very close to the main station and is very peaceful but right in the centre and thus linked to the main city streets.
The Opera House is just round the corner and the Basilica of St. Mary Major about 100 metres away, this is the most important and perhaps also the first Roman church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, its interior is a real triumph of mosaics, sculpture and frescoes, an artistic heritage that should be admired at least once in a lifetime.
