STEP INTO THE PALACE
You are now in a 19th century Palace,the Vedruna Palace.
The facade is but a prelude to the interior which required the work of a team of innumerable experts and craftsmen and contains more than 11,000 square metres of cast stone, marble, glass and rare timbers.
All of this took five years to reach its culmination.
The well-known names of Bohigas, Mackay and Martorell vouch for the high standard of its architecture.

The Claris hotel offers you 124 rooms.
True dwelling of spit-level style(duplex) in which you can find anything from a Hindu Goddess whose antiquity is more than 1600 years,original 1812 etchings belonging to Napoleon,17th century English furniture,or the modernism of Guinovart and this together with your own sauna,Jacazzi and this experience,maybe make that when you sleep at home,you will miss your hotel.
The neoclassic facade of the Vedruna Palace is a balanced and true design of Renaissance inspiration according to the style of 19th century Barcelona.
This facade has been preserved and completely restored,requiring a labour of great accuracy in its reconstruction.
The added finishing touches and decoration are of a floral design resembling that of a lily leaf,and in the centre the pediment-the low pitched gable in which the base of the coat of arms of the Counts of Vedruna together with the helmet of royalty can be seen.
The upper part of the coat arms depicts a lion’s head within a sun.
On either side there are two Griffins, half-lion; half bird.

CELEBRATE IN THE PALACE
In the Claris Hotel and pleasure go hand. The Vedruna Room like the Claris Room, has been conscientiously fitted and worked, in order to cater for the most important conventions.
This is done without losing sight of the objectives: technology,confort, intimacy and good taste. Gettogethers and small gatherings can also enjoy their own very special settings: Keops Room, Design and Claris Museum which houses an important private collection of Pre-columbian art. Art and culture blend together, actually breathe the same air, within the hotel.
This is apparent in the sculpture and the 5th century Roman mosaics in the lounge. This is again apparent in the subtlety of the small Japanese garden with its delightful fountain.
And even apparent in the design of each of the small details.
